In 2014 I moved to Vancouver where I gained a job working with the leading Special Effects (SPFX) crew in Canada. I was immediately put to work designing, making and operating complicated mechanisms for the Steven Spielberg production of The BFG. My major contribution to the film was the design and manufacture of an 8x8ft scissor lift which was used throughout the film for vehicles, set pieces and substituting the BFG's hand when lifting Sophie.
